My weight loss journey

Growing up I was always so skinny.  Everyone was always telling that I needed to put some meat on my bones.  Well, I sure did, about ten years ago.  I started with some fertility drugs and they made me gain some weight. Then about 12 years ago I decided to quit smoking....along with that came about 15 more lbs.  Then I got sick and had to take some steroids and well you all know how that is...I blew up.  I have been struggling with excess weigh for about 12 years.  Give or take a few years because I always thought I was overweight.  Now I would love to be that weight again.

Recently, I started trying to lose again!!!  Well, for the millionth time.  Anybody out there know what I am talking about?  I am losing the same 10 lbs right now that I have lost so many times.  So, I thought that if I logged my journey then maybe it would help me. Kim and Tara helped me with my blog and crafting.  I would never have started working on my craft room if it wasn't for Tara over at Craftin Desert Diva's. She encouraged, motivated and kept me going.  I felt like I did not want to let her down; so, I worked really hard to clean on my craft room so it would be presentable on her blog.  She is so great..she never judged me; only offered advice and gave me encouraging words.  My friend Kim is also a big help with my journey. She is always so upbeat for me and is just as excited for me as I am. So, I am hopeful that if I put myself out there that you guys will encourage me and I will be able to lose the weight that I need to.  I want to be healthy so that I can raise my children and play with my grand children.

My children also are such an encouragement.  I lost some weight before with Zija, when my daughter Aimee was a consultant.  But I gained that back....it did work though.  Then my daughter Jennifer bought me some Ace and I tried it.  I can't take it everyday but it is very helpful.  Right now I am taking that occasionally and then I drink energy drinks.  I am also walking.  I would like to say that I walk daily, but not yet.  My husband is so awesome; he has fixed me a place outside to walk on our farm so that I don't get bored.  I want to share my journey with you and maybe some pictures.    So far, I have lost 8 lbs....I think... so that is what I am going to go with.  I walked 48 mins today and I am really trying to watch how much I intake (food wise).  My problem is the night time.  I get up in the night and have sweets before I even know it.

Today I thought that I would share a few pictures of some of the walking space that I have.  NO EXCUSES!!!  My husband has mowed me a great walking path.  I will share more about that later.

Would love to have you sign up to follow me along my journey....

Craft room renovation cont....

Well, as promised...here is another shot of my craft room.
This is a picture of how messy my shelves were.

I am liking this little wall shelf to help sort and organize some of my embossing powders and flocking powder.

I really like how pretty my Sizzix dies look.

But.....
I just don't know what to put on that other shelf!!.
The punches are just not working for me.

Alright all you crafters out there....
What would you put on the shelf on the right?

thanks for dropping by.
This is the last week to link up your craft room.
Head on over to Craftin Desert Divas and link up!!!

But before you go...here is a craftin tid bit:
Put things away as you bring them into your craft room instead of piling them up to do later like I do.

Blogging tid bits #1

I noticed that my friend Tara from over at Craftin Desert Divas was leaving comments on blogs and it was just the blog name and not the HTML part.
For example when I leave a comment this is what I would type:

Robin
http://cutonedesignsbyrobin.blogspot.com/
But I would rather it say:

Robin

So I asked her to share her secret with me....wanna know what her secret is?

Here is the example that was shared on a website that I Googled.

Use this code to add a Link to a page:

<a href=“http://Internet URL goes here.”>Title the visitor sees.</a>

Code example:  <a href=http://www.example.com>Example</a>

Hyperlink visitor sees:  Example

So here is what I will use...
<a href=http://cutonedesignsbyrobin.blogspot.com/>Cut One Designs by Robin</a>

and here is what will post :
Cut One Designs by Robin

Try it out and let me know what you think.  Pretty neat trick if you ask me!  Thank so much for sharing this little tid bit with me Tara!!!!

Don't forget to link up your project!

with prizes!

Come check it out!!!

Craftin tid bits #1

I was guest designer for Tara over at Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party #4.
I wanted to do something different so I decided to try my hand at embossing on glass.
The first time was a big flop!!!

I cleaned the jar (an old mason jar) with a Clorox wipe.
I was in such a big hurry that I did not wait for it to dry. :(

I used the versamark to stamp the image of the Peacock on the side of the jar.
As you can see when I put the embossing powder on it stuck on a bunch of places that it should not have.

Not pretty at all.
Just to be sure that it was not the embossing powder or my stamp I stamped on a tag.

As you can see it was a very clean, nice, neat stamp.

So I decided to attempt it again.
Can't give up on one try!

Now this looked great!  I am quite pleased! I made my first wire loopy lou also.

I think that it looks real nice.  I like working with this wire.  It is real easy to manipulate.
So what do you think of the finished version?

I am making a few to sell for Mothers Day presents.
I think that the next one will be dragonflies and butterflies or I may just surprise you.
